Game Night

Relax and have fun with us in the undergraduate computer science lab on Friday March 13, 2009 from noon to whenever they kick us out. There will be pizza and drinks. Bring your consoles or games and enjoy the friendly competition. There is also a planned StarCraft LAN so bring your laptops. All members are encouraged to come.

With a week of voting behind us, the ballots have now been counted.Congratulations are in order to our new Secretary Neha Bhargava.

Vote for your new Secretary in the undergraduate lab SCI 254 today and the rest of the week. Remember that only SFSU ACM members can vote. Neha Bhargava is running unopposed and will be giving her speech at 2:15 pm today in the lab.

Introduction to Java Workshop

SFSU ACM’s Introduction to Java Workshop is being held Wednesday March 4th, 2009 in SCI 254 at 11am to 1pm. Spencer Tai will go over basic java concepts and help you write your first Java program. 

Resume Development Talk

ACM Speaker Series presents Computer Science Chair Dr. Dragutin Petkovic’s talk on Resume Development on Monday March 2nd, 2009 5pm to 7pm in TH 331. He wil talk about what constitutes as a good resume given his experience in the industry. He will also go over resumes after the talk is over.

General Meeting

ACM’s first general meeting of the semester will be held February 11, 2009 in SCI 256 at Noon to 1:00pm.   Meet your fellow SF State ACM members and people who share similar interests.  Non-members are welcome to attend.  There will be free Pizza and Drinks.  This is the ideal time to turn in your membership forms, or if you haven’t already picked one up, you can sign up with us then.  We will be discussing Committee Selections, so get involved.  Don’t be late! 

Calendar and Book Loan

Using google applications, the Book Loan page is now displaying a real-time listing of the book library. Also, a new page “Calendar” was created to show all ACM events.
